A little about my Astronomy interest to start this new page with, (clipped it from my Info page) so here we go.... For the Astronomy side of my hobby I use a Celestron C150HD 6" Newtonian I have always been interested in astronomy and star gazing on and off (mostly off) for as long as I can remember. I got into it a little more deeply recently when AES started selling telescopes. I decided it was time to get a decent scope and see what I have been missing all these years. I didn't realize what I was really missing all this time just staring at the night sky, there is an unbelievable amount of things to look at. The detail you can see in Saturn and Jupiter and even seeing their moons, although those can't be seen with any detail at least I know they are there, unreal seeing these objects for the first time. I took the scope to my parents and let them see Jupiter, Saturn and even the Orion Nebula. My dad (WR4B) couldn't believe that bright star was a planet, They both thought what I pointed out was just another star. It's amazing once you know where an object or constellation is in the sky how you can just look up and recognize them so much easier.

This page is still in the construction phase, it used to be a page related to CB Radio but seems a few of the hard core "hams" didn't agree with it's content on this site so it had to be removed by request of the owner of the QSL.NET server. There could have been some problems with some of the links and I didn't feel like getting in any hot water over it so hopefully the Astronomy page won't offend anyone especially since a lot of "hams" are into astronomy too. Don't think anything can be done to illegally modify a telescope :-) and if you don't like astronomy then don't visit my Astronomy Page and it won't offend you crybaby's out there. Guess I should get off this subject now that I have vented my opinion of censorship. I'll try and find some "Radio-Astronomy" links to keep it radio related :-)

Here are a few Astronomy links to start things off. I am adding more as I find them so keep checking back for additions. If you know of any good ones please email me with them. Lets see how this works out....
