Dplus Functions
The W4AES system currently has Dplus function's that can be utilized to test your radio signal quality, store a message with voice mail (only 1 mailbox currently available), repeater module status/id and simulcast to all modules. The first example below is called D-Echo. D-Echo will echo back anything you transmit so you can hear yourself and the signal quality at a given location.
D-Echo on Port A 1.2 GHz (1291.300MHz -20.000 MHz)
URCALL = W4AES E The E (Echo) must be in the 8th character position
RPT1 = W4AES A The A (1.2 GHz Repeater) must be in the 8th character position
RPT2 = W4AES G The G (Gateway) must be in the 8th character position
MYCALL = your call sign
D-Echo on Port B 440 MHz (442.025MHz +5 MHz)
URCALL = W4AES E The E (Echo) must be in the 8th character position
RPT1 = W4AES B The B (440 Repeater) must be in the 8th character position
RPT2 = W4AES G The G (Gateway) must be in the 8th character position
MYCALL = your call sign
D-Echo on Port C 2M (145.290 -600KHz)
URCALL = W4AES E The E (Echo) must be in the 8th character position
RPT1 = W4AES C The C (2 Meter Repeater) must be in the 8th character position
RPT2 = W4AES G The G (Gateway) must be in the 8th character position
MYCALL = your call sign
Voice Mail can be used to store a single message for anyone to retrieve at a later date.
Voice Mail: use "W4AES_S0" to store a voice mail
use "W4AES_R0" to recall voice mail
use "W4AES_C0" to clear voice mail
only voice mail register 0 available now
Simulcast can be used to transmit across all ports simultaneously.
Simulcast: use "W4AESxxx" to simulcast to all modules (x's=spaces)
ID: use "W4AESxxI" to recall repeater ID (x's=spaces), if linked, replays linked message.
Feel free to use the W4AES D-STAR digital repeater and analog repeaters during your visit to Orlando Florida.
Both are open for general use and linking is allowed on all of them. The VHF port of the D-STAR repeater is usually connected 24 hours to REF001C, the UHF port B is normally available for linking. The analog repeater is usually connected to IRLP Reflector 9050. Feel free to drop the links if needed. Hope to catch you on the air.
