Welcome to my home page. This page is next on my list for changes so it may not look right at times while I work on it, please keep checking back as I make more changes.
I have been busy making changes as you can tell if you have been visiting much. I have added a RAM HAM SHACK Picture page, a page of Daytona Bike Week pictures and some more link pages dedicated to Amateur Radio, Astronomy, CB Radio and Dodge Ram stuff which are continually growing and changing.
This page and all the others on this site can be best enjoyed using Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher or Netscape 6.0 or higher. It is best viewed using a minimum video resolution of 800x600 16 bit Hi Color resolution, preferably 1024x768 24 bit resolution.
This page and all others are going through some changes as of the beginning of 2004 as I get time so keep checking back as I add more info and pictures. I am running my own Apache server formally running on a 500mhz Linux based PC ( Mandrake 10.1 distro). It is now running on an AMD Athlon XP 2800 computer with Mandriva 2005LE so I have added more work to get this site in shape. I have had these web pages up since 1997. I am not exactly new to the internet and have been using it in one way or another since 1986 way before it became "graphical".
I started out by getting involved in TCP/IP over amatuer packet radio and using it with a friend who was also involved in packet radio networking and happened to have easy access to an internet gateway where he worked at the local university. We set up a gateway to the local 2 meter packet network using tcp/ip. We had a lot of fun telneting around the world. I never would have thought it would become what it has.
If you are interested in Ham Radio related subjects there is a page on the QSL.NET server listing the available reflector mailing list, you can subscribe to various Ham Radio related subjects like satellite operations, various manufacturers, Packet radio and other digital modes, Homebrew equipment info, Repeaters, APRS, Packet Radio, CW, etc. It is located Here. Be sure to check my WEB LINKS for more links to HAM/Astronomy/RAM stuff and please be sure to sign my guest book so I know who is stopping by....73 & enjoy -Bruce WD4HIM.
